The tiger nodded her agreement to all the precautions Izzy was taking, being able to comprehend the mind of a killer herself. She was however a little unnerved by the barricade, and felt herself wondering whether or not that was really a necessary precaution. He should know as well as she that most asassins don't use a door, and that they usually didn't need access to a dwelling in order to complete their mission. Sasha sighedl, however, calming her buzzing mind to a relaxed stream of consciousness. That is, until her companion uttered those three little words. In the same sentence. About her.
The femme dragged her gaze to Issaic, confusion clouding her eyes as they stared at him in near disbelief. "Huh?" She found her mind now blank as a piece of paper while she dumbly stared at the male before her, unable to think of anything to say or do in response.
Slowly her mind started working again, but she still didn't know what to say, and could only feel a bit flattered and very confused.
Swallowing hard, she tried to speak, but nothing came out. After a few more attempts, her moving jowls actually decided to emit the sounds she was trying to communicate. "Uhhh, are you sure? I mean.... why do you think it's me?"

Issaic sighed and adverted his gaze again. Perhaps he should have just kept his muzzle shut… He turned and slid down the wall. “It‘s just that, well…” even the hywolf wasn’t sure how he could explain it. He took a deep breath and looked up at the tiger, his icy eyes shining in the dark a bit. “I don‘t know why,” why was this so hard? Why did he feel the need to protect Sasha?
He sighed again, then stood back up. “…Forget it. I shouldn‘t have said anything…” He figured he looked pretty pathetic right about now.

Determined now to figure this out, she went to grab Issaic's arm, pursing her lips slightly. "No, I won't forget it. Tell me what made you jump to this conclusion so I can understand better, cuz clearly you know something that I don't." The tiger let her asassin instincts kick in a bit, trying to key into anything he might do or say that would clue her in, but outwardly, all she could see was embarassment and maybe some guilt.
Realizing that she was being a bit direct in a situation that maybe called for a bit more of a gentle touch, Sasha softened her gaze, changing her expression to one of coaxing and near pleading. She was as confused and as embarassed as he was. The only difference was that he was feeling bad about being honest.
Taking a deep breath and slowly letting it out, the femme tried to appear relaxed so that she could get Issaic to do the same, watching him closely, but also with a softer demeanor than just moments before. "Come on, I don't care how stupid you think you sound. You can and should talk to me."

He looked down, knowing there was no point in hiding it anymore. "When I saw you earlier, normally I would have just ignored you, but I didn't. Something told me to make sure you were okay, so I did." He looked straight into her eyes now. "My injury, a .308 calibur hunting rifle," he picked up the mangled round, "healed in less than three hours, when a typical handgun round would take the same time."
He moved past her, looking down at the ground. "What is it about you that compells me to protect you? Why did I heal faster around you?" The hywolf settled against the wall, slipping his hands into his pockets. "I don't know what it is. I've never been in love, so I wouldn't know."

Sasha blushed, unable to say anything in response to Issaic. She watched him quietly, nibbling on her lip while he spoke. She had never been in such an awkward situation and felt so self conscious. Instead of doing or saying anything she seated herself against the wall, tucking her knees into her chest and continued to watch him.
Sighing loudly, the tiger leaned her head back against the wall. "So what do we do now?" She felt completely at a loss for what to do, and tried to process everything he was telling her. She had never even heard about Oddyssians until tonight, and had no cause for comparison, so she had no idea that things were different for him when it came to her until he'd told her. "I mean, I'm flattered, I really am, but I've never been in a situation like this before. What do you propose we do?"

Issaic was silent a moment, deep in thought. He seemed like a different person now, somewhat colder. He reached for his magnum and held it out in front of him, inspecting it. "...We wait. In your room, if you still trust me." Even his voice seemed emotionless. "I want you to know that although I have these feelings, that I will not try anything." He holds out the gun to her.
"The bullets in this will blow a hole through dragon hide. I guarantee it'll put anyone down. Keep it close..." He set it on the ground by her and looked down the hall, before going back to the balcony door and giving one last scan outside. It seemed there was a double-meaning to his words. Why give her the gun when he was perfectly capable of shooting?
He then muffled a cough walked back to the kitchen, opening a drawer and picking out a few knives. His instincts told him that assassin would be back. No good assassin left a mess like this. Issaic closed his eyes and took a slow deep breath, trying to calm down.

The tiger immediately regretted her words, feeling his change in attitude toward her. She would never admit it, but his words made her feel almost guilty for not jumping into his arms and making out with him like they do in fairy tales. She hesitantly took the gun, palming it and taking aim at the door just to get a feel for it. As an assassin, she was so used to the quieter method of knives and hand-to-hand combat that the magnum seemed an almost foreign object to her, despite having used them before.
Watching the hybrid, Sasha realized that he was making her nervous. Instead of opting to shut her mouth and let things be, she decided to follow him into the kitchen, leaning her back against the wall as she let out yet another sigh. "Why are you mad at me? You're acting like I just told you off and rejected you, which I didn't. I'm simply at a loss for words. Surely you can understand?"
Wincing slightly as the tiger felt a twinge in her abdomen, probably from her earlier escapade by the bar, she looked sorrowfully at Issaic. She was physically and mentally exhausted, but she knew there would be no sleep for her unless this whole situation was worked out beforehand, so she caved. "Why don't we go into my room and discuss this while we wait for him to show up, and I know you are waiting for him from the way you are behaving."

Issaic's expression immediately softened, his icy tone melting away as his eyes looked at Sasha. "I'm not mad at you. I have no reason to be. I'm just confused." He turned around so he leaned against the counter. "...I'm sorry," he said. He straightened up and walked with her to her bedroom. He sat down at the foot of her bed.
The window in here was one way, as most apartments were. He looked at the tiger briefly before returning his gaze out the window at the ocean in the distance. He could see Sasha's faint reflection in the glass. "...It's a very nice view."
(OOC: He's just confused. Love is something he doesn't fully understand, and he gets frustrated when he doesn't understand something. To be honest, I wasn't fully sure how to explain it myself^^; Sorry for any confusion.)

The tiger nodded, following him into her bedroom where she curled herself in a ball against the headboards and pillows. She watched him stare outside, doing so herself for a moment before her gaze found its way back to Issaic.
Keeping her gaze trained on her companion, Sasha let loose a sigh, pulling her knees into her chin a bit more. "So let's talk while we wait," she said quietly, almost ashamedly. The tiger herself knew she felt a physical attraction to Issaic, and knew that she felt comfort with him even if it wasn't as a result of his touch.

The hywolf looked back at the tiger over his shoulder. A slight smile appeared briefly on his muzzle. "...Alright, but if you feel tired, you can go to sleep. I'll keep watch for both of us." He looked out the window again. He wondered if Sasha liked him back in that same way he did.
He looked back and patted the spot next to him, before looking away. "I guess it wouldn't hurt to get to know eachother a bit better, would it?" He never really took the time to get to know someone who wasn't an Odyssian on a personal level. "What would you like to talk about?"

Sasha remained curled up against her pillows, inching under the covers discreetly. Her eyes never left Issaic as she did so, fingering the magnum in her hand and decided to hide it under her pillow alongside a switchblade she kept handy just in case.
"How about you come over here," she insisted, feeling her feline instincts take over slightly as she snuggled further under the covers.
The tiger continued to get comfortable, but still watched Issaic, and waited for the assassin. She knew how things worked, and knew never to let your guard down when danger was near, or would be soon, but instead of letting it tense her up, she relented with a sigh.
"Alright, Issaic, tell me what you want to know about me. I'll tell you almost anything you ask," she responsed in a nearly purring tone.

Issaic remained quiet for a brief moment, before moving closer to Sasha. He leaned back on the headboard, propping his feet up on the bed and looking out the window. "How long have you been an assassin?" It was an odd question, but it was all he could come up with. "I mean, you're so young to begin with. I find it hard to believe you made that as a willing career chioce." He laughed a bit, trying to lighten the mood.

Sasha looked away briefly, nibbling on her lip as she tried to word things gently. When no other way to word her situation came to her mind, the tiger gave Issaic a sorrowful look. "Well, to be honest, I don't remember. Occasionally bits and pieces come to me, but the last thing I remember upon arrival here is some councilmember treating me like shit cuz I was passed out in the snow with no idea of how I got here. When I finally realized where I was and learned a little bit about this place, I got a note from an anonymous sender giving me the address to this place. When I arrived it was stashed with food and I found myself stocked with weapons up the wazoo. I guess I fell into freelancing out of dumb luck. Some guy came up to me and paid me five hundred bucks to kill some guy who ripped him off. When it came to the killing part it was somehow instinctual, like I'd been preprogrammed to follow that path, so I did."
Wistfully, Sasha stared at the comforter on top of her, almost losing herself in it's pattern of hues. "I still get bits and pieces of life before St. Lucent. I know my parents were rich and that I never really liked either of them. I also know that I was involved in some sort of private training before ending up here, and briefly remember a white room, but that's about it." The tiger was loathe to admit that she had no recollection of her past. What she did know was shameful, and made her nearly cringe. She dearly hoped that Issaic wouldn't judge her for her story, and felt her orbs well up as she thought about it, blinking back tears to come.

The hywolf did not hesitate this time, reaching over and giving Sasha a comforting hug. He believed her story, knowing all too well the despicable acts the Council did. "It's alright. That's all behind you now. Maybe you can take this as an opportunity for a new start." Issaic doubted he was being helpful, but he didn't want Sasha feeling hopeless. "I imagine you have an account somewhere. Most assassins and politicians often keep their money and valuables in a secured bank account."

The tiger, now feeling miserable, let herself be hugged, curling herself against Issaic as he comforted her. She shrugged her shoulders, having absolutely no idea. She survived on killing people and kept her money stashed, but had no prior knowledge of a secret bank account. Instead of letting it further ruin her night, she pulled the covers up to her chin, leaning against her companion as she tried to relax herself once again.
"I honestly have no idea. The only thing I truly know is that I hate the council with a passion. I hate them like I hate the male who violated me tonight. The only difference is that I'm not afraid of them."
Sucking in a deep breath, the femma tried to steady her breathing, her auds pinning back to her skull in response to her words, her tail having already curled itself against her back. "I just want to be happy," she admitted quietly, feeling stinging moisture slip from her already tear-swollen eyes.
