Dar had only just received his drink after a while. It had taken longer than expected, but at least it was warm. Lifting the mug up to his lips the warm yet spiced scent filtered through his nose. He took a good long drink before sitting it back down on the bar and smiling at the tigress, taking the pen and paper and scribbling his name out in his usual chicken scratch, barely readable handwriting. He handed it back to the woman, who's attention was now on Rook.
A slight grin pulled over Dar's thin muzzle and he stretched out a leg, leaning against the bar and picking up his drink again. 'So the old man's finely getting some action eh.. Good for him, he needs some.' That thought and the sight of the black wolf down the bar falling on her face caused him to snort into the mug, splashing hot spiced whisky all over his face. A blush warmed his face slightly as he picked up a napkin, placing his drink back down on the bar and cleaning up his face. Yeah, that was stupid, but could it really be helped?
As much as he didn't like seeing girls getting hurt, he had to admit, that was pretty funny

"Wow," Adeline claimed, her voice still in an awed hush as she absentmindedly took the signature from Dargan, her attention on Rook
"You know," she told Rook, "I wanted to be an Angel the moment I came here, I tried to find everything out about them that I could. But there was a problem that rendered me ineligible. The schooling requirements." Sadly, she shrugged halfheartedly. "But, I'm not going to go through twelve years of schooling that I never had. The sea was my home, and the only schools there are the ones of fish."
All that she said was true; the tiger really had wanted to be an Angel when she first found out: it interested her, almost consumed her. But, she never had had any schooling. ((OC: Didn't put this in the bio, but that's a motive to her bitterness to the Angels: not letting her in because she never had proper schooling and...to tell the truth, can read and write as well as a 5 or 6 year old)) Her parents, old fashioned sea-dogs, or tigers, that they were, didn't know how to read or write, or do arithmetic or anything of the sort. But Adeline had smarts. She had instinct. And she was clever in a different way than bookie. Attentive, she was very attentive. And she was bitter. She might give it all up, her rebellion, well, not really a rebellion, just a unknown society that acted like an alternate to the Angels...the ones who didn't make it. That normally meant that they weren't as competent as she could have hoped, but it was okay. She and Groves did all the work anyway.
But her mind had wandered, and it was time to turn back to reality. She turned to Dargan quickly and said, "Thanks so much. The kid's birthday is coming up anyways, so now I don't have to waste money getting him a useless present." Adeline took a long swig out of her pint.

Rook felt a prickle of unease as he sat there listening to the young tiger, feeling around for traces of bitterness of malice in her voice. It was there, barely well hidden by her lilt. He also felt pity and it was an unwanted emotion but he couldn't push it away.
He felt even worse when he saw her take that....swig.....Okay it'd be sexist to say females shouldn't be alchaholics....the world's all equal and shit....but there's someting wrong with a young lady taking "swigs" As he turned at her and said nothing, thought he showed he had listened and was interested at least.
When he eyes Dar he expressed his bit of concern, raising an eyebrow and flattening his ears.

After her entire night had gone completly ary she smuged out the thoughts that brought her here to this bar, and chose to have some fun. Again her eyes fell to the other wolf. He really seemed intent on that tigress, as well he was most certianly attched to Rook.
It was interesting, and caused her mind to wonder over thoughts about their relationship, were they lovers, family of some weird sort, all the mean while her eyes lay locked on him, empty with thought. She hadnt even heard the bartender ask her if she wanted another...

Casey looked over to her wolf then over to Dargan. Of course she knew who the mutt was. She didn't like him that much. It was the fact that he was not only better at Skyboarding, but younger too. It always irked her a little that when she was probably one of the fastest person on a board, that he could always get more attention because he did tricks. 'Oh boy, look! I can do a flip!' All these people where fawning over him like love sick pups. At least he made sure that she wasn't bombarded by people....
Snorting she grabbed her water and made her way across the room. There was no reason to thank him. If she didn't want people around her and they where, she could make them go away so fast... Casey grimaced when she realized how much she was thinking about the dog.

Dar had been staring at the girl who'd fallen not to far down the bar, but turned away as she looked towards him. "No problem at all." he mumbled to the tigress, smiling awkwardly. As much as he got this, he still wasn't that used to it, and rather disliked it sometimes when he couldn't be alone. Sometimes things got rough, and he'd had to fight his way out of crowds a few times. A sigh passed through his rims before he took another long drink from his mug, placing it back on the bar.
Being a pro skyboarder wasn't all that it was cracked up to be, doing petty tricks for viewers. Not that he minded it, he was in the air after all, the place were he felt most at home. The only real problem with it was, that he could never really do what he wanted to do. He was a racer not an entertainer. It took real guts to do some of the things he'd preformed, but still, there were those people who thought otherwise. Sure the pay was great, and that's mostly what he was doing it for. At first he'd just needed money to support himself, but now that he had that, a lot of the extra went to charities and those sorts of things.
His tail twitched and he turned, now facing the bar and slouching down onto his elbows, prodding at his mug that was almost empty now. The bored expression on his face turning to a grimace as he thought about going back out into the stormy weather. Should he go ahead and go home for the night? He'd only just gotten here though, and had wanted to talk to Rook for a while. Kind of seemed as if he were busy though.

Rook felt uneasy in this crowd, he was not a nice friendly person, he did not like pretending to be a nice friendly person, what was the point? It gave people the wrong ideas. He wished he could investigate the tiger more personally but he was sure he would see her again if he looked hard enough.
He knew Dar would probably get nervous and leave, and his heart ached at this because he hadn't talked to his friend in a long time. An idea struck him as sharply as this feeling had. He leaned forward and said in a low voice to Dar
"Wanna get out of here"? His old gray eyes sparked with mischief.

Adeline smiled warmly at them both, but the smile did not extend to her eyes, which glistened cold steel. And, if one were to pay enough attention, it could be seen that behind the facade, she wore a secretive smirk. She tipped her hat to the two men before her, who now looked like they wanted to leave. "I'll leave you be then...Thank you again," she said, taking the paper with Dargan's signature and walking back over to her solitary spot, or, what used to be solitary. A dark colored wolf was now sitting near the place she had been. She recognized it as the one who had collapsed, though she seemed more awake now. The tigress lifted her glass to the stranger. "To the hopes that I'll soon be as far down in the gutter as you," she claimed, and took another long, hard swig.

Leena fittled her way on her newbie skyboard. It was a dark grey, and she could still bearly fly above the ground. She was happy at her new hieght, three feet. She was actually coming to see how Angelo's business was going. Her brother's strip bar was a bit away and had been suffering in customers due to the extreme cold. She walked into the bar and was immeadaitly noticed by some of the rather well paying customers that watched her dancing. She noticed a strange bunch around a certain Pro skyboarder and an Angel. Her heart skipped a beat. Every time she saw a well known Angel she wanted to kick up the courage to meet them face to face. She danced for a few, the payed her well always. But sitting down and talking with one? Unfortunately they looked like the pro boarder and the Angel looked as if they were about to leave. It was now or never. The young purple-blueish dragon strode up to the two of them. Rook? Was that this gentleman's name. "Um.. Hello, sorry to bother you sir.." SHe looked down alittle blushed, "But do you.. um, mind if I sit and talk with you two for like five minutes? I will buy you a drink!" She blurted the last bit quite fast...
