Adeline's eyes lit up, and her ears perked at the sound of the rattling. At Athos's question a slight smirk spread across her face. "I think we might be able to find something to open that. Follow me."
Hidden things or unaccessible things held a certain interest to Adeline, who had one quest to find the most hidden thing on the island: the city's true name. Anything to help her find that would probably be hidden or secret. Most of the time stuff like this turned out to be nothing, but, one never knew.
She led the snake down the back steps, where, after unlocking a door, they found themselves in a messy room used mainly for meetings about Angel watchings or Council stalkings. "There should be some tools and stuff to open the fucker...forgive me if you're not partial to my vocabulary," the tiger said, but she didn't sound too sorry for cursing.
