Character Information
Canon? No
Character Name: Roy Aner
Gender: Male
Age: 36
Species/Breed: Rabbit
Current Occupation: Unemployed
Personality: Stoic is possibly the only word to describe this fur. He doesn't speak. At all. Conversation is something he seems to avoid like the plague, and aside from the rare statement letting people know that he needs something, many people are convinced that he doesn't know how to speak. He will often just sit, pensive and completely serious, never smiling or raising his eyebrows or giving the slightest hint as to what he is thinking.
A few years before, he was (and to a lesser extent, still is) a fur of principle. Any promise he made, he stuck to, no matter what happened. He was fiercely protective of the little guy, and prided himself on having a larger social base than he ever cared to measure. Anyone who can get past the barrier that he has set up might be able to get a glimpse of that former personalty.
He's also always just over his vices. Now he'll only get drunk on occasion, and his love for money and valuable things has been all but extinguished. Every now and then, though, the chance to earn a quick buck will not go unnoticed, even if it seems like it would be against his otherwise better judgement.
Appearance: Roy's living arrangements the past few years have left him toned and physically fit. He is a small, broad shouldered rabbit who has all the look of a hired muscle straight out of an organized crime book, a look his constantly dour expression and battle scars only heighten. He has no extra headfur and a ratty-looking white and black fur coloring that looks almost painted on.
He only seems to have two or three different outfits, but they all follow the same type of design. They're all old T-shirts and sweaters that seem to be a few sizes too big for him, and jeans rolled up and tied up with a belt, all of which seem frayed and tattered from long use.
Background: Roy had lived a fairly normal life up until his early adulthood. Having graduated from high-school, he ended up drifting from job to job, no direction, no real purpose. Living half his life unemployed, however, was not a life for someone who was nursing a less than healthy appreciation for money.
He started commiting crimes. Like most emerging criminal masterminds, he started off small; a mugging here, an armed robbery there. He became a sort of semi-pro, augmenting his meager salary whenever a particularly easy target came along. Unlike most emerging criminal masterminds, however, he never became overly greedy. He only managed to take enough to support his own lazy lifestyle, and never considered doing anything beyond his talents.
One night, a friend of his told him about an easy mark, and of someone wanting his help stealing from it. When he got to the house, however, it looked like whoever was supposed to help him had already gotten started without him. Not suspecting anything, he entered the home.
It was a pretty open and shut case for the police. They came in, saw Roy standing over the bodies of the house's former inhabitants, and arrested him on the spot for murder. There was no one else around, Roy couldn't identify this "friend" of his that he claimed did it, so the police just made the logical assumption of a burglary gone wrong.
Having spent a good portion of his life behind bars, Roy now finds himself back to square one. With no job, no money, and a black mark permanently on his reputation (not that he had much of a reputation to begin with) a full fledged life of crime is looking more and more promising by the day. He had heard rumors of something called The Foundry that had started up while he was away from the outside world. If he could only find a way to get into that, he might just be set for life.
