Character Name: Julius Skjoldebrand
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Species/Breed: Grey Wolf
Current Occupation: Pilot for Hire
Personality: Julius is very much a perfectionist. Every flight is like a performance to him, to make it smooth and professional for the passengers or cargo. He does things very much by the book, and has a good mind for concentration. However, there are several things that are his constant pet hates. He hates on principle all other air traffic. It's either fools with skyboards that don't know how to use them, or pushy jets that smoothly cut in on the radio for clearance before you, or private planes that keep radioing in asking directions to an airfield. As a result, he has a slight detestment of all regular airboarders he is introduced to, because chances are they are troublemakers.
On a more serious note, Julius is not averse to philosophising, and history. He studies whatever texts he can find on the subject of recent history, and takes interest in political affairs. He is usually shy to speak to, and is quite intimidated upon meeting Angels, who themselves are a fairly intimidating group at any rate.
Julius is not a social person, and does not hold conversations easily. This is mostly because for much of his days he speaks through a radio, only to request clearances and altitudes, therefore his conversational skill leans towards being brief, and accidentally slipping in some air-tongue every so often, such as 'niner' when counting to ten. He is not arrogant or outspoken, but not exceptionally modest either, he prefers to tell the truth, neither embellished nor diminished.
Julius' concerns for himself are very few. He gets little sleep, and hardly bothers to look after issues such as appearance. As such his hair can get a little afray, his fur unkempt, and as for his own health, Julius does not care much for healthy eating or exercising, because he would prefer to spend what little free time he has doing other things.
Appearance: Julius has dark grey fur which transitions to off-white around his muzzle, arms and chest. The fur on his legs transition to near black 'socks'. His fur is best described as 'frizzy', as it is rarely combed or looked after, as Julius doesn't waste time on personal grooming very much. The hair on his head and tail is black. When hired, he may be required to wear company uniforms, but casually wears darker colours, a jacket, trousers, black boots and a dark blue peaked cap. He has orange eyes, which are quite dull, and seemingly have little reflectiveity about them. He stands at 6 foot tall. He is quite thin, and has little physical strength beyond pulling on levers.
Background: Julius was born in the Kia Republic, to a small family, consisting of only his mother and father. He grew up in a rural part of the land, and therefore had very little contact with any other children. However it seemed his destiny was already laid before him, as the airfield he would one day take flight lessons was not a mile away.
Julius attained his Private Pilot's licence at 18, and his commercial licencing at 20. He was then qualified to fly any commercial carrier or private aircraft. Julius made his way into the Domestic sector of the business, before getting a job in flying international, a straight flight to St. Lucent. He spent half of his time in the city, half out. He decided he wanted to move into St. Lucent two years later, and landed himself a permanent residency, although he can still take the international circuit. He attained reputation amongst flight companies as reliable and by-the-book. He was also marked out for his concern for the comfort of the passenger, as opposed to some sloppy pilots that seemed to have a personal vendetta with the runway, thus slamming into it quite hard.
It was that obsessive compulsion for perfection, and the number of hours the wolf flew that earned a reputation, and more often than not Julius acts as a Captain on international carriers, cargo flights or private charters. He prefers charters, which is how he first came into knowledge of the Foundry. Julius first heard of it 32, 000 feet above sea level about 146 miles out from St. Lucent. It was possible that the flight itself was chartered for the purpose of secrecy, but the wolf pilot had heard whispers, a long conversation between a member and a prospective recruit, it seemed. Julius has had it on his mind ever since. He wonders about the Foundry, if their cause is more worthy than that of the Angels, and in his wilder imaginations, whether or not he should join it.
