Character Name: Adeline Jade Sumar
Gender: Female
Age: 23
Species/Breed: White Tiger
Current Occupation: Manager/Second Owner of the Groves
Personality: Adeline is a rather eccentric being, very much on the "loner" side of things, and even a bit shady. She works at the Groves, the local antique store, where items will randomly show up without notice, some recognizable as townspeople's belongings. She doesn't much talk to people, and very much likes her alcohol. It's rumored that she and the mysterious owner of the Groves are romantically involved, but however it's also rumored that they run a sort of "gang/society" in an antique shop as well, so choose to believe what you wish. Adeline has a very dry, sarcastic voice that doesn't sound like it's often used. When it is used it's normally to tell people to "Leave her the hell alone". When she's managing shop, she doesn't attempt to put on a facade and act all nice. She'll answer people's questions, which she has never not known the answer to, but people don't often spend much time there. Unless of course, they're involved somehow with Adeline.
There are few people Adeline would consider "friends", some of which are currently housed in the Law Enforcement Facility. Those aren't very close friends though, as they tend to be the more idiotic ones. Adeline has never outspokenly been against the Angels, but she certainly isn't a friend. She seems to be insanely curious to find out everything she can about Dwight Lucent, to the point where she becomes annoyingly nosy in Angel affairs. She often goes down into East Lucent's tunnels, believing there to be secret clues and hidden passageways down there that even the Angels don't know about. She is very anarchistic and knows a good many who met there deaths due to the Gates. Adeline is very opinionated and individualistic. She hates being disobeyed.
When approaching Angel members, Adeline attempts to befriend them...of a sort. She keeps her tone and personality, but makes it seem like she is interested in becoming an Angel, rather than the opposite. Most, however, recognize her for who she is.
Appearance: Adeline is short, about 5'3" and sleek. She is mostly pure white, being a white tiger, but she has odd and end yellow stripes over her body. Her tail is circled with yellow all the way from the base to the tip. Her eyes are a piercing blue, a mix between steel and sky. She is dressed, like all, in warm clothes, leaning towards very old fashioned clothing, more akin to 17-18th century pirate lord clothing. She rarely dresses in "women's" clothing. She is never seen without her geniune 18th century leather tri-point hat. Her hair is long and dyed black, with bangs to her eyes. On the back of her neck she has one tattoo, a sideways red hourglass with black lettering. The letters spell one word "steel". It is not often seen due to her long hair.
Background: Adeline immigrated to St. Lucent less than three years ago, the orphaned daughter of sea dwelling parents. Their ship ran adrift the shores of St. Lucent and was strangely destroyed by the Gates. All perished save for Adeline and two others, both of whom reside in the Law Enforcement Facility for attacks on prominent Angel and Council members. Adeline had known about St Lucent's story prior to her arrival, and it was sheer luck that the wind led her ship to St. Lucent. Her life had been one filled with obsolete fashions and antique possessions, which she brought with her to the Groves.
She had applied for a job at the Groves upon arriving to St. Lucent. The Gates, strangely, had let her element ravaged body stumble into the city. She got the job and very soon came into close contact with the owner. She is now consider a "second manager", the highest in command other than the real owner. Since the owner rarely comes in to his own shop, she really seems to own the place now. After a year and a half of living in St. Lucent, her curiousity overwhelmed her and she learned some very "disagreeable" things about the Council and the city itself. She and the owner of the Groves, who helped her see these wrongs, began the highly secretive rebel society, whose existence is merely a rumor.
She has sent people to try and sneak into Angel bases, but all have so far failed and have been sent to the Law Enforcement Facility. Some have even been killed. Those who have been caught affiliated with Angel Rebellion have no more contact with Adeline.
