Canon? Kinda..?
Character Name: "Abrax Aaron" -- A-003
Gender:Male.
Age: 28.
Species/Breed: Caracal x Eurasian Lynx.
Current Occupation: Odyssian; Current Leader
Personality:
Project 003, or 'Abrax' as he was later named, always was a peculiar specimen.
Abrax was born blind kept that way until the age of fourteen. His strange actions and perceptions of the world are attributed to the fact he lived in darkness for more than half of his life. Colours play a big part in his perception of things. Numbers, letters, words and even people are associated with colours in his mind. For example, to him, Wednesday could look especially green, or July purple. They're usually constant, with letters being the only ones prone to change.
Abrax is very meticulous; He pays attention to detail on an almost obsessive level. Abrax is not content until everything is perfect. Until every problem is solved, and every outcome considered, he is unable to rest easy. His work ethic is amazing; You give him a job, it will be done with the highest quality, so help him.
What you see is what you get? No. Never. Abrax has always been about illusion, guise. Not just in his actions but his personality as well. Appearances are everything, he's learned.
He has a polite and almost gentlemanly demeanour, even when issuing a vulgar threat he still has a way of being classy. Abrax has always had a way with words; he's charismatic, and can be charming, even. He can speak convincingly, and with passion. Most importantly, he can lie. His words are one of his most potent weapons. He is able to fib with ease, and with no trace of dishonesty. Abrax is able to reinvent himself as well. His personality is to change; he is versatile. If needed, he would be able to take on an alter ego in a split second. He can be hard to keep track of this way.
He keeps a sunny disposition for reasons unknown. Perhaps it's to hide madness? Maybe because he's unable to actually feel anything, so he fakes it. Who knows? Certainly not his psychologist. It's even more curious how he keeps a slight sarcastic tone to his attitude. Either way, it can be irritating. Very much so. Despite that, it is a subtle show of his incredible self control.
You wouldn't think it, but his mood can change with the drop of a hat. It takes very, very little to excite him, or to anger him. The former is the only one you'd see in him directly. Abrax makes a point to never show 'weaknesses'; Anger, grief, sadness.. he likes to omit negative feelings like that. At the very least keep others from seeing them in. He's only one Furre, he does mess up from time to time. It's never pretty when he does, be warned.
Abrax is a good and competent leader, he didn't get the position for nothing, after all. He has a good head on his shoulders; he's a very reasonable and thorough thinker. He hides his emotions as it is, he sure as hell won't let them compromise a decision. He's able to strategise, and command large groups of people without fail. He knows how to give and follow orders. He is also a good soldier; without question, he will do as told. He will give his life for the benefit of the Council, if necessary. He tends not to look into what specific matters his superiors dwell. He keeps a thin sheet of obliviousness over his mind, as to not have an opinion on the subject; to assure the validity of his unrelenting loyalty.
Morality is a strange concept for Abrax. 'Right' and 'Wrong' are just words. He's never quite understood it; it's not helped that they've never explained to him. He had always been told that his orders were 'right' and anything against said orders were 'wrong'.
Abrax is extremely ambitious, persistent and determined which, in it's truest form is a power hungry, controlling attitude. It's a dangerous combination, he's well aware. His personality, even when he covers it, hints at these traits, it's an unvanquished constant. But Abrax knows when and where that behaviour is appropriate, and around superiors, it is not. He's got tact, yo.
[jeez, I hope he's fleshed out enough. Describing character's personalities has never been my strong point.]
Appearance:
Abrax, despite being a hybrid, is able to pass off as a full blooded Caracal, as he does on occasion. His fur, predominately, is a ruddy brown colour, getting lighter on his stomach and around his eyes. His hair is black and kept groomed. He has a rather boxy face, very angular. His jaw is strong, as are his cheekbones. Abrax's ears are curved inward a bit; tall and pointed with traditional Caracal tufts at the tips. Abrax keeps his fur and hair trimmed short, for convenience and appearance. It gives him a sort of sleek, clean cut image. He likes that.
Though not as physically strong as his peers, Abrax can still easily take on a normal Furre in combat. In his build he is well balanced. He's naturally lean by bone structure and muscled, particularly in the upper body. In short, he's fit. Agile, and quick on his feet. His posture is nearly perfect, he stands properly. His gait is proud and tall. He carries about him a sort of atmosphere; aristocratic, yet aggressive.
They say the eyes are the windows to the soul; If this is any bit true, Abrax's soul must be bloody mad. His eyes, by request, are a sickening green. His natural eye colour is a milky blue. Abrax was originally born blind, you see, through the standard Odyssian iris implants (and a second surgery in accompaniment), he was given sight. Joy. Because he was unable to see for so long, Abrax tends to stare as he's used to (it can be a bit unnerving after a while.). Oddly enough, one of the most expressive bits on his face are his eyes. Through, no matter what, there's always a subtle glint of mental instability buried in them. As he's an Odyssian, his eyes glow a bit, to hide it, Abrax simply uses small, round sunglasses. He doesn't like the idea of bits of plastic in his eyes.
Abrax has exceptionally bad teeth. Well, they're not as 'bad' as they are 'ohfuckrun'... wait. They can be considered a mutation, in a joking manner. Most are needle sharp and either crooked or snaggled. All of them are angled back and are a nice yellow in colour. He doesn't show his teeth very often. If there are small children about, then that may differ. They get frightened so easily..
Abrax has a deal of scars; little knicks to full blown gashes, most of which are able to be hidden. There is, though, a rather noticeable gash he can't hide, it's worth mentioning. Abrax has a slash running across his throat. It's clear that it was crudely stitched and healed badly. A big hint is that the fur around the gash refuses to grow. He can't typically hide this, and it's origin is unknown to all but a select few; So Abrax frequently makes up one. A common one is "discount surgery". (in truth it was from a fight gone wrong with a fellow Odyssian in their youth, but that's boring)
His style of dress is somewhat militaristic. He tends to stick to either a field jacket or more commonly a trench coat, straight leg pants, and a dress shirt. He's really not to complicated in this regard, but he tries to look nice (typically he's successful in that endeavour). He tends to favour high collared garb in either grey or black. For footwear he sticks to simple combat boots; they're durable, you know.
Background:
For an Odyssian, Abrax came about through ordinary means. Mum was a test tube, Da' was never known.
His physical health at 'birth' was astounding. The only thing wrong with him was the fact that he was born blind. But that could easily taken care of with a quick surgery. Oddly enough, it wasn't until fourteen years into his life.
What was even more astounding was his mental capabilities. Soon after his first year he was able to speak in complete sentences; a feat unobserved in most of the others. Sure there were some articulation problems, but that was expected. It baffled his caregivers how quickly he grasped onto things, even more so when he retained it. It was clear that number 003 was something special. A close eye was kept on his mental development. It was observed that while physically he was at the same pace as most of the others--a bit behind, actually--he sped through any intellectual challenge placed before him.
It was observed he was very rational, even as a child. It was also noted that he had difficulties not only expressing, but identifying emotions. He simply put them in two categories "good" and "bad". Anything labelled bad, he simply repressed. He seemed to have an issue opposite to a good lot of his kind. It was odd how simply he dealt with this, considering everything else Abrax over analysed. He was able to think both concretely and abstractly.
As Abrax grew older, less time was given to his schooling, much to his dismay, and more time given to combat training. At the time, Abrax was still without sight. Teaching a blind child hand to hand combat is an interesting sight to see. At first he flat out failed. A lot.
Though, through trial and error (mostly error), Abrax learnt to use his hearing to help him not only locate others, but dodge there attacks. In time, his reflexes were flat out amazing. He wasn't ever as strong as his peers, but he was faster and more accurate.
When he was given sight, it didn't improve his hand-to-hand skills. Sure, now he could aim a gun, (admittedly he was pretty good), but he still threw a punch with his eyes closed.
As Abrax entered his late teens, his intelligence was taken for what it was. Despite his various mental conditions, the kid was brilliant. His cunning strategic abilities, with a little training, could be some of the most effective. He was terrifyingly effective with his words; he would be able to fool the best of them, combined with his leadership skills, he would be a force to be reckoned with. Not to mention he was able to follow through with orders efficiently. Abrax also, at this stage, made a point to put himself out there as 'useful'.
His efforts were not in vain. He eventually worked his way up to the highest rank in the Ithaca Compound.
