*Beep!*Beep! Tarena was awoken by the loud insistent beeping of her alarm clock, she shot out a hand and gave the top a smack to quiet it. She sat up and yawned. "Well Fred it's time for the shop's first official day of business" she said addressing the goldfish in the bowl on her nightstand, his only acknowledgement was a hungry glance in her direction. Tarena got out of bed and fed Fred before heading for her bathroom. After the usual morning routine, tooth brushing etc, she made herself a pot of green tea (nothing is better in the morning:) She poured a mug full and carried it downstairs to the shop. It is very convenient living right above where you work. Tarena had spent the previous week setting up the store and making sure everything would be perfect for her customers. She walked over to the front door and unlocked it, she also turned the open sign around. Tarena took a deep breath and smiled "Here we go!" she said to herself as she eagerly anticipated the arrival of customers and new students.

Sven had been wandering the town, just watching people for the most part, when he happened about a strange looking shop--"Something New" the marquee read. The fox had passed this area many a time, sure, but normally he had always been involved in Angel business, or chasing a girl. It was funny he had never noticed the place. Now, however, he had some extra time on his hands. Why not take advantage of it? Watching the people outside was boring, for they were always cold and acted the same-quick, shuffled walks with their heads down and paws stuffed in pockets. One could tell nothing of their true nature from this battle against the weather. Inside, though, he could watch actions and interpret events. And who knew, a new age shop could be the perfect place to meet a girl. He wasn't worried about another Angel watching him now. Many of them would never dare to enter a shop such as this. No, if there was a pretty girl in there, he would have nothing to worry about. He doubted he would get caught with his sexual illegalities in this area of town.
He entered the shop, quickly surveying the scene. The whole place stank of "new business", but Sven didn't mind it. In fact, he rather embraced it. It wasn't often that a new place opened up in St Lucent, probably because of the lack of influx of foreigners. As he looked around, he noticed how nothing seemed out of place, everything brand new. The display items hadn't even been touched, and the items in the front of piles were not jostled around. He might be one of the first people to ever enter this store. He smelt only the scent of "new business" and one other smell. Somebody was here.
Well of course someone was here, Sven thought, not meaning to sound climactic. This was a shop. The owner must be here. And, without seeing her, he could tell the owner was female. The atmosphere of the place was distinctly female...the order of the place... Men can be orderly too, of course, but their order is quite different. It was the placement of the items, how they had been arranged, that let Sven know the gender of the manager. If she was the owner of a new age shop, and a yoga instructor, Sven assumed she must be beautiful. He had never seen an unattractive yoga instructor. He browsed through the yoga mats, feeling each one for its unique level of squishy comfort.

Tarena perked up her ears as she heard the bell on the shop door jingle; she was in the back so a rather large bookcase obstructed her view of the patron. "My very first customer!" Tarena thought to herself with a smile. She finished lighting her juniper scented incense and padded softly around the bookcase, unconsciously running her claws through her long auburn hair as she walked. When he came into view her eyes widened slightly, he was a very attractive fox. Tarena had a bit of a thing for foxes given that they resembled Dholes so closely and there was an unfortunate lack of her kind in St Lucent.
She tilted her head slightly to the side as she watched him poking at the yoga mats, He looked like a bit of a ladies man, of course there is no way of knowing that just by looking at him but something in the confident almost roguish way that he stood there poking at the mats…she shook her head making her multiple earrings jangle, she should be studiously asking him if he needed help or at the very least welcoming him to the store, not mentally sizing him up as if she was about to ask him out! Tarena chided herself for acting so un-professional. She put on a winning smile and strode up to the fox
“Welcome to Something New is there anything that I can help you with today?”

The yoga mats were surprisingly more comfortable than Sven would have thought. He hadn't ever done yoga, preferring to show his flexibility in...other...ways. The owner had come out from wherever she was, Sven could smell her. Only a couple seconds later he could hear her earrings jangle. However, she said nothing. Was she just watching him creepily? Or was she sizing him up? Or, was she just nervous about having someone in the shop? Perhaps it was a combination of all three.
Sven turned his head to face her, placing his paw on one of the yoga mats, which shaped to fit the weight. He smiled, one side of his mouth turned higher in a smirk. It was always easier to wink that way, if it came to that. He didn't rove his eyes over her body, it'd be too obvious if he checked her out now. No, much better to wait until she'd turned around or stopped paying a significant amount of attention to him. However, he stared into her face, and was pleased with what he saw. She was not a fox, but she was close enough, a Dhole. Sven had never been too interested in species. As long as she was a female, that's all he really cared about. But he was always a tad more partial to his own species. Her face contained a pure beauty in it, a sort of young naivete. However, there was a streak of determination in her. But, Sven realized, this had to be true. She did start her own business after all, a new age shop no less. From this act alone it was evident that this girl was determined and free willed.
The fox thought up an answer, and the words flew out of his mouth before the rest of the sentence had been formulated. "Why hello miss." He inclined his head. "Not in particular no...I saw the shop from the outside and decided to enter. Are you new here? I don't recall seeing this place before."
