So the past few days I've been changing things around, no not only the aff box, but also some stuff within the RP. Mainly to do with how the Hour Glass Guild is organized and how it is run.
First of all I put a little more emphasis on the Seraphim controlling the Angels and explained the duties of every angel rank better in the Angels guide.
Also I changed the average time for an angel to be a Fledgling to 2 to 3 years instead of 5 to 7, it makes more sense for there to be younger Middle Angels.
I made it clear that Apprentices do all the chores within the Hour Glass Guild such as cooking and cleaning and that they are not subjected to secrets or important info until after Graduation (when they have passed training, taken vows, made sacrifices and been exposed to the power of the Gates).
I moved the time where people make their sacrifice from when they join to after they've passed their Apprentice test, it makes more sense that way.
Also I erased Advanced Powers all together except for Arc Angels
...I know this may upset some of you, but it really makes more sense. Middle Angels are revered as it is, they are supposed to be the best at what they do by then, why would they have an ever higher level before Seraphim? It makes it all seem pointless.
Arc Angels are only separated because instead of studying and working with advanced technology more they do military esque training. It's completely different that the other fields.
Every Apprentice also has physical examinations in addition to their studies but Arc Angel training is reminiscent of intense military training and martial arts.
Basically the idea of the Guild is that Angels get the best training, knowledge and access to technology and power, making them a force to be reckoned with no matter what Power they choose. Putting basically a monopoly on talent.
To make it fair I also lessened the importance of Arc Angels, they are still feared as the muscle behind the Hour Glass Guild but they are not exclusive, any Apprentice who chooses combat as a Power has the opportunity an Arc Angel, but the tests and trials are much more dangerous to their actual well being.
If this had effects on your characters (I don't think they will be too severe) please change some things around accordingly as you go on, you don't have to edit bios however unless you want to :3
I would definitley take the time to skim over the Hour Glass Guild Guide and take a look at these changes first hand :3
