Alright guys, as you know, that is, if you've read this thread that the Odyssian plot is underway, and we're in need of Odyssian characters, to the degree that I've cut the expectations for odyssian biographies down a bit--and even given the option of forfeitting Odyssian characters once this plot is over (unless you don't want to of course). In order to have an epic battle, we need those who fight, and most of all we need active Angels, Foundry Members and Odyssians. These three groups will be involved in heavy fighting and controversy in this plot, in several different threads at once if everything goes well. So if you don't want to be an Odyssian, please consider starting a thread with an existing Angel or Foundry member in preparation for the plot that is to come. Please RP people- ask people to rp with you, start threads!
This isn't an RPG if we don't RP.Anyway- the subject of this thread is the Odyssian Leader character- previously played by Samantha Jezebelle. I need someone who will be active and willing to communicate through the entirety of this plot to play this character, below are some guidelines for whoever chooses to volunteer (if there are several, me and my staff will choose).
- The Leader may be Male or Female
- The Leader must be an Aaron Odyssian
- The Leader must be a Hybrid Furre
- The Leader must be sufficiently strong/cunning or powerful in order to lead and control the Brothers and Sisters of the Ithaca Compound.
- The Leader must be active whenever needed during the plot.
- The Leader must obey the Council, though he or she does not necessarily have to agree with them or ally with them in future plots.
Whoever thinks they can do this, please come forward and volunteer! It's crucial to the plot and it's bound to be loads of fun and drama o.o -Rook

Hey! I'd be interested and willing to volunteer to play the Odyssian Leader!
I'm nearly always available, just not online here very much at the moment because I can't settle on the character to post... But that's beside the point.
Anyway~! Would I have to do anything special aside from filling out a character application form, or do I have to wait for more people to volunteer so the Staff can make a choice? How does this work?

Well, to audition all you need to do is give me a good sample post as you playing your prospective character, the Odyssian Leader. Then, if we think you can do it convincingly, you can make your application for him. :3
You can basically make his or her personality whatever you wish as long as it meets the guidelines above.

Okay, awesome! C:
Terribly sorry to keep asking questions but: Any specific situation needed in the sample post? Or anything special I need to include in the audition? For example: Would I have to include the character application with the audition?

NEVER be sorry for asking questions. >3 Quoth my 3rd grade english teacher :3 <3
1) No, as long as it shows you playing the character as you would normally, perhaps showing off your best effort you can manage. Don't stress over it though. (and you can make changes to the character when your creating his or her application)
2) Nope, audition first, and you can go through the trouble of making the app if he or she gets accepted as Leader :3

Righty, so, this is my audition post for the Odyssian Leader. Woot! Don't know what else to say really. :3
Scaled it down so it didn't stretch the page too much. c:
Abrax bore a small grin on his face; a sunny disposition laden with a subtle fallacy that made others want to break his face. Though, if you tried to, it would be you who was without teeth, either due to his own actions, or someone else's.
He made his way into the bad parts of town, deciding to enjoy his 'day off. True, he had things to do, being considerably important guy and all. But at the moment, things were at a standstill. So he did what most people did; played a game.
The East end of the city had always been.. less than desirable, but it had become even more so after the storms had hit. Buildings falling in on themselves, streets overflowing with the filthy waters of the sewers, stained with the cold sickle of death. In the grey, humid air of the city, Abrax felt more than welcome.
The streets had been strangely populated. Families, junkies, dealers , all of which he presumed, were rendered homeless by the storm. Pity. But what're you gonna do, right? Figuring his normal Abrax adopted a more 'gloomy' guise to fit in better with the locals. His posture slouched, and his shoulders tense. He took on the look of a man dishevelled by the events of late. He felt the atmosphere change, even, rather than a stuck up outsider, he could be recognised as one of the bunch. Not to gloat, but Abrax believed he outdid himself on this one. It took a bit of effort to repress his self-pride.
Despite the dark scenery, light still managed to make it's way in.He watched from the adjacent walkway, taking in the scene unfolding before him... Children playing in the flooded alleys of East Lucent, said children's mothers howling like banshees to stop them. If he were of a different mind, he might have seen it as sad, or disgusting. Abrax just thought it was funny; the kids got in trouble, after all. He was standing out in the open, like He needn't worry about being found. Abrax, like many of his brethren, was adept at seeming normal; at blending in. Soon enough he grew bored of watching the frivolous interaction between these urchins, and moved off to find what he'd come for.
Abrax rounded to corner and stopped at a rather sad little tenement block in need of a good rebuilding. He pulled open the door and slipped inside, his presence, or lack thereof, went unnoticed by the various people on the street. The Caracal cross-breed made his way up the rickety staircase with ease, his balance not once faltering. He'd gone in the fourth door to the right on the third floor. With a bounce in his step, Abrax perched himself at the distant wall of the run down apartment room, peering out the window with a childlike excitement.
He grinned, genuinely, upon seeing his target through the window on the opposing building. His clean cut appearance shattered like stain glass in a church with a flash of his wicked collection of crooked, yellowed fangs. A short lived act, but none-the-less a terrifying one, thus adding further reason to be short lived; it could draw attention. This would be important, should he be in a populated area. However, he was alone. In his eyes, the glint of a hunter spotting his prey shone quite obviously. But to the common eye was nothing more than the look of a young man with a theoretical mission. Or madness. That could work, too.
Abrax had been watching this target- er... Furre.. for several days now. He'd started it as a personal hobby, as he often did, to keep not only his skills honed but also to keep boredom from gnawing it's way at his already compromisable sanity. He'd not only discovered that his object of attention was not only the owner of scooter, but also an active political activist. Unfortunately for the poor sod, he was the wrong kind of activist, and therefore a problem.
And as an Odyssian, he was to eliminate any and all enemies to the Council. That was his job, his purpose... the very reason for his creation! And he loved it. God, did he love it! Though, really, he had no choice, he couldn't quit his job even if he disliked it. He imagined a two weeks notice was nothing short of termination; self or otherwise. But that is beside the point.
It may have been more appropriate to get a Baker, or perhaps even a Dresden to take care of this situation immediately; The Problem was minor. But Abrax enjoyed watching him; the guy's life was a train wreck! Besides, unless he was wrong, Abrax had gotten a Sister to get rid of him today- Speaking of whom, should be there to take care of the issue some time soon. No harm in waiting four days. He had told the Baker to 'be creative'. He hadn't a clue what she would do to end the Furre, but he was eager to find out. Maybe a little too eager.
