As of this moment the site is going to go through a cleansing. Realistically not much will change. Rook has a pretty good setup and I don't intend on doing drastic changes. It's finals weeks and I'm feeling the pressure too, so, much of the reworking won't take place till the end of the week but this is to give you an idea of what I have planned.
First I will be working throughout the week to delete inactive accounts and clean out the active character section. This includes moving inactive characters to the appropriate forums and updating the active character's list. The thread itself may go through a reworking. I feel it to be simpler to separate affiliations via post rather than one gigantic post. Even though I get the feeling it's going to get a lot smaller.
There will be a slight tweaking of the rules. Mainly to include the 14 day policy and clarify it's significance.
Rook has started an archive forum and while it's a good idea I feel that removing threads from their correlative location forums takes them out of context and makes understanding them as they were meant much more difficult than it should be. Opinions on archiving should be voiced. I'll see if I can create an adequate archive section mimicking the active forums unless there's a huge outcry against archiving. To that end any thread that hasn't been posted in the last two weeks will be moved to the archives.
Last matter of business is the cbox. I've talked this over with Rook and we're both in agreeance. We both feel it detrimental to the longevity of this site at this point. Meaning more people are using it then they are posting on the forums. And ultimately rendering the forum unappealing to many newcomers. Consider this a reminder and a warning. The cbox is a privilege, not a right. So far it hasn't been so much of a problem in the last week. I hope that this continues. But if it seems that the cbox has returned to a detrimental factor it WILL be removed no matter the ultimate consequence.
Also, remember that the plot has been put aside. You don't need to concern yourself with it at the moment. Just concentrate on posting and getting to know each other and the site.
If you've returned to the site to find your account deleted then tough luck. You've had a chance to contact me or be active on the site. Just because your account is deleted does not mean you are not welcome back. All you have to do is re-register and post a return. As per the rules your character will be restored and you'll be allowed to continue your participation.
To the newcomers and old dogs; THANK YOU! It's good to see there's still some interest and I'm not the only one who won't go down fighting. I know Rookums appreciates it. If you're lucky she might tell you herself
