The Seraphim (individually 'Seraphs'):[/size]
The highest ranking Angels in the Guild. They run the whole Hour Glass Guild and are only one step below the Council in terms of power.
Seraphs usually do not participate in field work except in extreme emergency situations, it is considered vulgar to dirty their hands with it after they've been given the right to sit on the Table.
Seraphs are in charge of all Middle Angel assignments, homeland security and foreign relations, taking charge in crisis or emergency situations, speaking to the public and making decisions for the Guild as a whole.
Powers, or ('Middle Angels'):
Middle Angels are what makes Angels the most feared organization-- they are brilliant scientists, engineers, medical workers, detectives and fighters who have made sacrifices and become the Guardians of the Gates.
Middle Angels are separated into Powers, or classifications, there is any number of Powers for an Angel to choose from upon apprenticeship ranging from anything from piloting to to technological analysis.
Choosing combat as a classification leads to becoming an...
ArcAngel ArcAngels are apprentices who have chosen Fighting as their classification or have been sought out because of talent. They serve both as soldiers, law enforcement officers and assassins, either given missions or assigned patrols around the city and along the Wall.
ArcAngels live to fight for the Guild and are trained in any number of ruthless tests of discipline and endurance. Many Arc Angels do not live past their first months as a Fledgling.
Fledglings:
Fledglings are young Angels who have just past Graduation and have made their Sacrifice. An Angel may remain a Fledgling for two or three years after Graduation.
This is a transitional period for young Angels to choose which route to take and to further develop their experience.
Apprentices:
Apprentices are Angels in training, who have applied or been sought out as potential members , A Highschool Diploma or a GED is required. They are assigned a mentor to train them and help them choose their classification.
Apprentices study for classifications they are interested in and which would benefit the Guild, they learn the history of St. Lucent and train their minds and bodies to their best potential.
Apprentices are also required to do various chores for the Guild, and replace hired help such as janitors and cooks throughout the duration of their training period. They also are servants to their mentors.
Many apprentices do not make the cut.

- Apprentices are required to make a sacrifice to the Gates upon becoming a full fledged Angel . It could be contact with their family, their job, a body part (usually replaced with a mechanical one), a favorite possession, an addiction or even a state of mind, what have you, anything significant to the individual.
- Any information about the Guild, the Gates or it's inner workings, passed to a non-Angel is considered TREASON and the penalty, if caught, is death.
Apprentices are not often provided with too much information about the Guild at all before Graduation in case they do not make the cut. - Angels are forbidden by the Seraphim to take a mate outside of the organization. This is difficult to monitor, so usually it goes unchecked except for cases involving marriages or children, which are dealt with severely.
- Angels have their own rooms at the Law Enforcement compound or The Drop, your character's sub board will be put there rather than Character Housing if you request one from the staff (via PM).
- The Gates can speak in the minds of all Angels who have passed their Apprentice test, made their sacrifice and completed Graduation. The Gates are played by staff members, playing the Gates without permission is like Powerplaying and it is forbidden.
- Apprentices must have mentors, they may be NPC's or real Middle Angel characters. Middle Angels can have up to three apprentices at one time and can have apprentices as long as they retain their Angel status.
Real character mentors are proffered, apprenticeships can be organized via the Plot board or over PMs.
