Character Name: Ivan Delaney

Current Occupation: Collin's Personal Assistant, Member of Adeline's Gang.
Personality:
Sharp witted and silent, Ivan, on the surface appears cold, judgmental and bitter, this however could not be further from the truth, usually the strongest feeling he feels towards someone is a distant sense of sympathy and curiosity, and then he moves on with his life, alone, as always.
When you can goad him into saying something he DOES get talking he can usually be helpful, as he knows at least a little about every subject, then on the other hand he can come across as pompous and highly irritating.
It's very hard to surprise Ivan, or make him mad, but when someone does succeed he comes down on his opposition, or his friends with the scornful wrath of a strict mother. Ivan has the tendency to take charge of situations from the back, and let other people be the figureheads, doing an unreasonable amount of work himself.
Ivan is indeed a workaholic, OCD "golden boy" though any glory he ever had the opportunity to grab has long gone, and he is inside, torn up for it. His head is a mess of wires, and coiled tightly around his soft heart.
Appearance:
Ivan is tall and lanky like many others of his species. His almond shaped blue eyes burn with the hyperactive ire of a cloudless sky, practically a legend in this frozen wasteland of a metropolis, these eyes are occasionally glazed over in a wistful-beyond-his-years unobtrusive frown. His face is usually limp in a poker face or perhaps a real lack of interest, though his eyes contradict this so strongly that it seems almost pointless.
The fur all along the back of his neck and spine is spiky and white, though in some places the view of this is partially blanketed by his swath of thin, soft blonde hair, only a few shades lighter than his golden basecoat, having darker roots almost down to the black of his spots.
His eyebrows are black-dash and arched high, giving his narrow features the perfect look of perplexed disapproval. Under his eyes thick dark 'tear' marks form, as on any cheetah standing out even against his mass of peppered, speckled and blotched black spots.
His tail is graced with a white tip, and his belly, inner ears and muzzle and the toes of his paws follow suit.
Background:
Ivan was raised from elementary through middle school as a honor roll student, predictably he excelled in track, though he was less interested in his natural talents and leaned towards science and engineering. Math equations melted and unlocked in his head, he was moved up a grade and sat in the top row, defying those who lounged in the back.
On his first year of Freshman highschool he joined the Engineering Club and became the most promising new member, rich, gifted and popular, who could do better for the club's sucess than this promising new member?
However Ivan's skill and brains were not enough to let him stay on top, after the money drained out of the situation. His father had previously been wealthy and was supposedly making his money selling his art to aristocrats around Lucent, but one day Ivan came home from school only to be slammed against a car, it was the day he had gotten his report card, and the day Ivan's father had been busted for trafficking drugs through his house and using the Art as a cover up.
Ivan's father fled, leaving his son behind and resisting arrest, the last Ivan saw of him alive was a yellow flash as the older cheetah broke into a run up and over the neighbor's fence. There must have been some sort of struggle because Ivan heard gunshots from where an Angel held him in his grasp.
The gunshots had not changed his father's face, so the funeral was open casket. The cheetah had avoided jail through death. An Angel, some Angel had killed him, and Ivan was sure, as bad as his father was, he had always advocated peace. He never would have turned and attacked.
Despite feeling bitter about his father leaving him and lying, Ivan swore that day that he would fight against both Angels and crime, since both are corrupt organizations that obstruct true justice and make excuses for bloodshed and lies.
Ivan lived in an Eastern Lucent orphanage for the next five years, he was allowed to attend the same school, and kept up his grades well, but after rumors spread about his father and all his money was gone, he found himself friendless and completely alone, his accomplishments unrecognized up until his graduation.
When he was of age, he left as soon as possible, and was hooked up with a job at the Wallside, getting for himself a small room at the Goldenbrick boarding house.
Ivan sought out a way to accomplish his goals, and sub sequentially found Adeline's organization and asked to join them. He now aids his group illegally and secretly, with his intellect, strategical skills, and sometimes even his speed.
Bad things happen to good people.
