- Skyboards, first off, aren't for everyone, and if someone is looking to start riding a board, they should start out with a Hovercore by FliRyder, and work their way up to a higher class board.
- Skyboards require maintenance at least once a month, and could break down mid flight if you don't maintain them properly.
- There are limits to what a skyboard can do, so make sure you read about each type.
Hovercore- The hovercore is a starter level Skyboard, able to fly up to 20 feet off of the ground, and can travel at speeds up to 30 MPH. Its one of the few skyboard models still powered by simple hover technology.
Modroboard- Modroboard by FliRyder is a moderate level skyboard for somewhat experienced riders. Its features include a footlock pad at the front of the board, a starter kickbutton, and duel rockets attached on rotating anchors to the bottom of the board. Simple eco-rocket technology still runs on electric, and needs powered up. The battery life of this board is 36 hours. This board can fly up to 80 feet off of the ground, and is able to fly at 66 mph top speed. Be careful not to take it any higher though, the rockets will stall.
SkeekFly- The skeekFly by FliRyder is a thin, curved board with an elegant design well equipped for the more freehearted and experianced riders. It's capable of performing simple tricks such as flips and spins. It's features include a footlock pad at the front of the board, a starter kickbutton, a booster kickbutton, and duel rockets attached on rotating anchors to the bottom of the board. It's capabilities are much the same as the Modroboard as far as speed and battery life, but it can fly up to 100 feet from the ground.
XStream- The XStream from FliRyder is a high powered board for very experienced to pro riders. It is durable enough for pro quality tricks and spins, and water tight. It's features include a footlock pad at the front of the board, a starter kickbutton, two booster kickbuttons for each rear booster rocket, and turbo kickbutton. Tri motor rockets attached on rotating anchors to the bottom of the board, as well as duel booster rockets in the rear. This board is capable of flying up to 1000 feet above ground, and traveling at speeds up to 100 mph. Do not take this board over 1000 feet, it will stall. This board is powered by electricity, so it needs powered, and has a battery life of 36 hours.
Of coarse FliRyder is the main source of skyboards, but there are a few other places to get custom boards, but the mechanics are very difficult to master, and not many people know the technical workings well enough to make a working board, let alone a properly working board.
