Character Name: Robert Koors

Species/Breed: Heron/Bald Eagle hybrid
Current Occupation: Angel; head doctor of the Angel's Infirmary.
Personality: Robert, like most Angels, is very smart. He seems to know almost everything about the medical practice, though has an aversion to bio-enhancement (he doesn't quite like the idea of changing what you were born with, to tell the truth.) He is known to be able to keep his cool under stressful circumstances, and is usually the voice of reason when things get out of hand. His presence in itself is calming.
He seems reclusive, though is never quite out of reach. He has promised his mentor that he would help all in need, not just the Angels; therefore he spends his free time doing volunteer work around the shady sections of West Lucent.
Robert can often be found reading, whether polishing his knowledge of medical practices or delving into a classic for the umpteenth time. He especially enjoys philosophy and keeps a philosophy-themed Quote-a-Day on his desk.
Robert has a habit of puffing on a pipe when he's thinking deeply, though he refrains from doing so around his patients for their health.
Appearance: Robert is a hybrid of two seperate species of bird, and has retained characteristics from both. He is tall and lean, with long, stilt-like legs that end in feet that are rumored to be webbed. His face is long and thin as well, though the base of his "beak" (muzzle) is somewhat more square and bulkier than the rest of him (eagle blood, you know.) He is completely white during the warm months (or, at least, what is warm anywhere other than St. Lucent. Approximately half the year.) The other half of the year, he develops a thicker set of feathers covering his body that have a deep brown tinge. These are scattered in with his remaining white plumage. He has a very handsome face, with a strong chin and dashingly serious eyes.
Robert has two wide wings protruding from his body, though he cannot fly; he gave up flight as his Sacrifice when he became an angel.
Background: Robert was born the youngest of eight children (all girls except himself) to a plump mother eagle and charming heron father. He was raised with the utmost care (youngest and only son, you know) though he was never spoiled. His parents did their best to show him what it felt like to go without. Since their family was so large, they were a bit tight on money, and could provide only the necessities for their children. Therefore, it was a miracle when Robert received a full scholarship for medical school when he graduated from school; his parents had felt horribly guilty that they could not afford college for him.
Robert excelled at medical school and graduated early. He was quickly picked up by the Angels and recruited for his medical training. After his mentor, Abraxus, passed away, he was named the successor to the position of Head Doctor.
