Character Information
Canon? Nope. I like creating my own characters. No offense to anyone *hides behind hatemail shield*
Character Name: Martin Smith, but he just prefers using his last name.
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Species/Breed: Grey Wolf
Current Occupation: Accountant at the bank.
Personality: Smith is reclusive, and likes to keep to himself. He's not one for having a sense of humor either. He goes in, works on what he must, then leaves without saying a word to anyone unless he has to, usually to the furs higher up than him. While keeping to himself, noone would think that he's a brilliant thinker and likes to solve problems, even when people say he can't do it. Most of the time, he manages to prove them wrong, though some things are just out of his reach, unfortunately like the printer when it breaks down, or anything electronic that breaks down. Calculations is one thing, but dealing with a hunk of technology is another.
Now, believe it or not, Smith can be nice from time to time. If someone is really feeling depressed or low on some money, he'll try and help them out or chip in a few 20s or something and be on his way. Of course, knowing people runs the risk of being caught for what he has done in the past, and there's no way in hell Smith's going to take the chances of being caught unless there's something more meaningful to it than that, like an innocent person or a good person being hounded by others. Then he gets into total badass mode and beats the hell out of them without a second thought.
Appearance: Smith truly is like a thug in an expensive suit, even though he's far from being a simple thug. When not wearing the suit (which is almost never), Smith's lean muscular body can be seen. He's not a superwolf, but he is more fit than the average accountant should be. His fur is a dark-ish grey color, and is sleek and tightfitting to his form, which also compliments the physique. His eyes are a golden yellow with black pupils that seem to stare into a person and analyze everything about that person in mere seconds, and also happen to intimidate people because his muzzle is always without a smile, nor a frown, just that neutral look. His ears always seem to be up and listening to everything Smith can possibly hear, which is a lot, even in a crowded bar, which he almost never goes to.
Now, there's not much to the suit, but I will go into it with as much detail as I possibly can. In public, Smith always wears a black and white suit with a black tie, a very nice suit that never seems to have wrinkles or thread or any kind of material on them, not even wolf fur. It's a regular two-piece suit, and he always takes the top piece off and loosens the tie when working, seeing as how he has to move about with his arms and think, and the loosened tie helps a lot with the thinking. That and a good cup of hot joe, and maybe a cigarette. Of course, nowadays there's a no-smoking policy at his work-place, so he can't smoke there. He also has a black trenchcoat he wears when going outside, though he never buttons the top piece of the suit nor the coat.
Background: The story of Jim Dimes (Now the aptly named Martin Smith) is one of risk and opportunity. Starting from rags, Jim began his life on a military base with his mother and father, who were both military personnel. Now, Jim seemed to be a very smart child, even from birth. He'd solve problems that most children his age would throw fits at (or toy blocks). After going through a few years of school, it turned out that Jim was quite the mathematician, a brilliant man with numbers where numbers applied.
Where did this get him? A boring desk job in a bank as an accountant. Now, Jim wasn't really satisfied with what he was doing, seeing as even though he was in a bank it didn't pay very well or liven his life...at all. Then again, there were always ways to change that. Now, Jim was brilliant at solving problems, he was brilliant with math, and he was pretty damn good with a firearm, but he'd rather do something than rob banks. However, he did something else that others do: exploit the government.
Using a slue of taxbooks and his skills with numbers, Jim began to exploit the government, giving him a few thousand extra dollars a year. He had a knack for this he realized, and he always made it look like nothing was really happening. He kept doing his work like normal, never spent his money unless absolutely necessary, knowing they'd track him by that. Unfortunately, there was one place he slipped up: his taxes.
One morning, as Jim was waking up to get some breakfast, the FBI burst into his apartment, pinning him to he ground and cuffing his paws together. They had caught him after he had made sure to pay his taxes, and they were all paid off, so they watched and waited, just to make sure he was really doing what they thought he was doing. Jim sat in a prison cell for a while before his family bailed him out, though they were not at all happy. When he looked back at what he had done, Jim realized how much he had mucked up his life, and wished he could take it back.
After some exploring for a new place, he heard of St. Lucent, a place in the middle of nowhere, where outsiders were crazy to go...Crazy...That's what Jim needed. He needed crazy, needed something to screw up his perfect numerical way of thinking. Jim needed to do something completely out of the blue! He made arrangements, changing his name to Martin Smith to start a new life where noone would know about his past.
Now, Smith is living in a place where once again he is a lowly-paid accountant, living in a small apartment and living a normal life. But he chose this life over what was the alternative. In fact, he adapted to live in St. Lucent very well, despite the cold atmosphere around him. In this world, for all his cold attitude and such, Jim Dimes, now named Martin Smith, believed his life could turn around and make a difference to this world.
Password? Danger...Yes, Smith is dangerous
