Character Name: Joseph “Boomy” Aranna

Species/Breed:Hybrid of several species of Lizard
Current Occupation: Engineering Student; As a student at West Lucent University, Boomy is a prodigy, if it’s mechanical he can almost always fix it, or make it. He specializes in skyboards, and anything with a hover engine. However it’s a bad idea to let him near anything with explosive capabilities, as he likes to “test” them out. In his free time, Boomy is a skyboarder.
Personality:Boomy is easily distracted, naïve, and socially awkward. He talks fast, and twitches when he’s excited. Boomy’s a strange critter no doubt. Yet, he’s one of the nicest guys you’d ever meet. He’ll do almost anything for a friend, even if it disagrees with him morally. With a fondness for anything mechanical he’s constantly inventing things that may or may not work, often coming down to mere trial and error. Which is how he got his nickname.
Boomy is an expert skyboarder, while he’s constantly told he should go pro. He has never bothered to do so, because he’d much rather stick to his schooling and be an engineer. Even though most of his spare time is spent riding and customizing his board. He loves doing it, and even enters small competitions from time to time.
He’s very easy to manipulate and kinda a pushover. Boomy’s not a person to trust confidential information too. As with his talkative and naïve nature he’s prone to letting things slip. There are very few people who don’t like Boomy, merely because he is a very likable person. The few that do are most likely annoyed by his bubbly personality.
Appearance: Boomy has an athletic build, with lanky, wiry muscled arm and legs. He’s kinda scrawny, not buff by an stretch of the imagination. His coloration is primarily a dull greenish brown color, with lightens on his belly. A brighter, more grassy green stripes down his back and covering his extremities. (I.E. Tail tip, hands, feet, etc.) While having no hair, Boomy does have a spiny crest that gives him a sort of “Mohawk”.
Boomy as a reptile, it’s pretty useless for him to wear bulky insulating clothing, as he does not have the body heat for them to work properly. He primarily wears a simple sweater, with comfortable, practical pants. It is very rare to see him with out his goggles, they’re either held up on his head or covering his eyes as he tinkers with something. He likes wearing long scarves primarily just for the aesthetic factor.
Background:
Joseph Aranna earned his nickname at the age of four, when he caused a small explosion in an irrational fit of childish envy. The young Boomy pulled the wires apart on his father’s skyboard, because he was too young to ride it yet. Needless to say he was severely punished for this and his father was furious, even though his mother was just amused by the whole thing. It was her who called him Boomy the first time and it stuck.
His love for all thing mechanical was discovered a year later. The same skyboard he had broken he found one day. His father having already replaced it, didn’t care what the five year old did with it. Boomy set to fixing it. And Amazingly enough. He did.
His parents had been amazed at they’re bright sons genious. He had repaired the skyboard near perfectly. It was merely a hovercore, but he fixed it. That same skyboard was his very first, and he still has it. Though the thing hasn’t flown in years.
Boomy did fantastic in school, a regular child prodigy. Sadly picked on and teased by the other kids. Boomy was the nerdy kid who always had the answer to every question. He didn’t care though, he just kept on doing what he loved, skyboarding and tinkering with machines. He fixed the schools heater once when the custodian could not, he fixed the intercom, he repaired just about anything he could get his hands on.
Not only did he fix it, he also learned how they worked. By high school Boomy was one of those rare kids who seemed to know everything about anything, yet was still naïve and childish.
He graduated highschool with a 4.0 GPA, and received a scholarship to West Lucent University. Now Boomy is in his second year of collage for a engineering degree, and still doing fantastic in his classes.
