Alright, so I know EVERYONE has questions about the Foundry, including myself to a point... haha...well, anyways, hopefully this will answer all questions, but, in case it doesn't, I'll add in anything I've forgotten, which will probably be a lot...
So...here we go.
THE FOUNDRY
WHO:
Started by Adeline Sumar, she is a determined young tigress. Upon arriving at St Lucent three years ago via a tragic ship crash, she was rejected by the Angels because she is unable to read or write proficiently. Since then, she has become a huge proponent against the Hourglass Guild, but even more so against the corrupt Council. She has made it her goal to discover the true name of St. Lucent...before the Angels do...
She is also accompanied by the large feline GROVES, reclusive owner of Groves' Antique shop. He needs a user handle, so if anyone at all would like to create a canon of him, refer to the Canon Character list and be creative!
WHAT:
A rebel organization dedicated to finding the true name of St. Lucent. Opposes the Council in every which possible, believing it to be a corrupt group full of conservative old men and women interested in nothing but personal gain. A foil to the Hourglass Guild. The Foundry finds the Hourglass Guild, on the whole, hypocritical and almost as corrupt as the Council. As Adeline has said, "Why call themselves the Guardian Angels of St Lucent when all they're really doing is harming the people rather than protecting them?"
The Foundry also dedicates itself to bettering the lives of the regular civilians in subtle ways that are not publically glorified.
Although it is regularly viewed as a "secretive rebel society" and tends to exhibit negative connotations, the Foundry is much more as its name suggests- a base and cornerstone for St Lucent itself.
WHEN:
The Foundry has been in existence for probably about two years, just Adeline and Groves starting a "rebel organization". However, it never really started to gather members until about a year after. Most of its work has been highly secretive until two months ago, or so, when the Kenn Park fiasco hit the fan and everything started up, with Adeline showing herself and putting a face to the name.
The words "highly secretive" does NOT mean that the Hourglass Guild did not know of it...trust me, they did. There are about 50 furres who have been in and out of the law enforcement facility for being caught spying on Angels. Once a member is caught, interaction with said member is immediately cut off and Adeline drinks herself drunk for that. The Foundry has gone through hundreds of members, mainly of them low class thugs. The ones who've managed to stay are the smart ones.
WHERE:
If and when the Foundry does have "meetings" they are held secretively in the basement underneath Groves' Antique Shop. However, it is not often that there are meetings where all the Foundry members are gathered in one place. Information is often passed along by coded messages from furre to furre. Many lower level members never meet the "elusive Adeline", even though she's often out at bars to drink herself into oblivion. Lots of conversations are exchanged in public places, or the East Lucent Alleyways.
Many higher up members work at Groves' Antique shop, unless, like Ivan, for instance, they have a better job that suits better and is more beneficial to Adeline. She longs for an inside member of the Hourglass Guild, but, that is far too unlikely to actually happen.
WHY:
"Because the world is going straight to hell unless some of the decent, committed people decide to stand up for what's right and overthrow corruption one tiny step at a time"-Adeline Sumar
HOW:
It started off small. Thieveries mainly, where no one got hurt. Antiques stolen from rich people, sold at Groves, where poor civilians would buy them at knock off prices and slowly better their standard of living. It was mainly a Robin Hood sort of deal, and it specialized in secrecy. However, that was mainly because whenever a member would be spying on an Angel and got caught, they were thrown in jail
Ever since Kenn Park, things have needed to become a little more...dramatic. Adeline has found the need to get in touch with those people who are weapon savvy. Things have become more physical. Secrecy is no longer needed as much, ever since Adeline brought things out in the open. This does not mean that things don't still occur under the weather though. Many of the new phsyical, seeable happenings are acting as a shield and cover for some of the more...questionable and important things Adeline is now trying to run.
If not all of your questions have been answered, don't be afraid to ask them! I'll do the best I can!
So...here we go.
