The citizens of Lucent, as well as all the Furres that populate Catori, speak in their own languages, all bearing similarities to those of our own culture but they do have individual words that differ. Below is a list that will steadily grow larger as more RPG Members submit suggestions.

Sah
An honorific denoting any respected male, usually a father figure such as parent, grandfather, uncle ect. It can also be used to refer to an instructor or superior in rank.
It is said preceding the individual’s sir name i.e Sah’Jones
Or as a noun i.e my sah, Jones
Sehr
An honorific denoting any respected female, usually a mother,aunt or grandmother. It can also be used to refer to an instructor or superior in rank.
It is said preceding the individual’s sir name. i.e Sehr’Applegate
Or as a noun i.e my sehr. Applegate
Confunc
(kun-funk)
A highly exaggerated and often sarcastic slang word derived from the term Confucianism, it is a nick name name for a very prominent social and religious belief in the northern areas of Catori.
It is the idea that one should honor and pay tribute to ones ancestors or departed loved ones, usually in the form of altars adorned with the individual’s photo or personal possessions, cared for attentively, (switching candles, placing flowers ect.) and prayed to.
While it is not a strong religion in and of itself, it has diluted (much like the word has) and it's traditions have leaked into the spirituality of most Lucentian society and mixed easily with other beliefs and deities.
Hybrid The politically correct term for someone who is a mixture of two or more Species of Furre ( Tiger/Wolf) Many however consider hybrids of animals of the same family (Tiger/Lion) to be more natural and not ‘true’ hybrids.
Scratch is an offensive racial slur used when referring to a Hybrid.
The phrase derived from a popularized political pamphlet published by an esteemed biologist, social scientist and Fowen enthusiast Gavin Wenslow. He wrote that hybrids, were "a vile scratch on the surface of progression, education and morality” and the term developed from that quotation.
He explained the more technical aspects of his theories, showing examples of defects young Hybrid children, which he reported to include stuttering, mental disorders, increased aggression, the confusion of sexual orientation (and hermaphrodites), stunted growth and retardation. Thus, he concluded that the courtship of two different Species Furres was immoral because of the hard life their child would be forced to live and the fact that it was unnatural and went against the laws of nature.
Several documentaries were published based on these theories, giving firm ground for ancient anti-hybridization beliefs to stand on, but interestingly enough, very few of these tests were actually officially documented, and there is not a very high percentage of defects in hybrid children today.
Fowen Fowen is the accepted term for a “pure” breed Furre.
Accepted breeds include any species that exists, or once existed in the ranks of the Lesser (sentient animals).
i.e Tigers, Deer, Wolves, Bears, Dragons, Unicorns, Skunks, Crows, Zebras, Moles, ect….
It is from the old Julian language, and literally means “pure”.
Sui[/b] Skyboard slang. Derived from the phrase 'suicide' someone who breaks all the basic laws of skateboarding, which can include being a Looser, a Skimmer ect.
Mutt A less offensive term than ‘Scratch’ used for a hybrid, it still has negative connotations however.
Tyle Tyle is a very derogatory curse word for a sexually active or promiscuous female who teases but does not eventually ‘give it up’. It has the same connotations as 'slut' or 'skank' but on a much deeper level, as it also suggests unfairness or baiting.
Frecked Slang, substitution for a harsher word, “screwed royally” or “hopeless”.
Looser Skyboard slang, one who is not attached to the board properly and is in danger of falling and dying.
Abstract One who ‘spitefully’ refuses to conform
Skimmer[/b] Skyboard slang, One who is not in control of his board and skims the tops of buildings and vehicles. This is very looked down upon.
Mutthugger A negative way of referring to fowen that like hybrids or associate with them, it can also be used as an insult, indicating that they do this.
Cur A very common, mildly offensive swear word for a poor, or less fortunate person, usually associated with the homeless and ‘bums’.
Lesser is a term that applies to non-Furre species, sentient ‘animals’ with smaller minds and no Logical Reason. Age old speculation on why Furres have Lesser counterparts has continued throughout all history, some have religious explanations, others believe the Furre evolved from them.
Lesser creatures can be used as food, pets and utilized to their full advantage. Consummation or enslavement of another Furre however, is outlawed.
Whatever the cause, the Furre remains dominant over the Lesser creatures, and cannot communicate with them, with an exception of the Sea Monsters, and as legend tells, the Dragons. There are no longer any Lesser Dragons left in Catori so ancient drawings and mythos is all there is left to speculate upon.
A Furre species is capitalized and left standing alone, however a Lesser species is usually accompanied by the word ‘Lesser’ and is not capitalized to avoid confusion.

Slummer One who seeks prostitutes in East Lucent.
Raiser A lowborn Furre, usually from East Lucent who attempts to befriend or associate with those who are more wealthy or more politically sound, usually a denizen of West Lucent.
Doorgrinder Slang, One who worships or reveres the Gates.
