East Lucent, particularly this part of it, was scary. Even this "I'm never afraid" furre was intimidated by it. "It" was the Alleyways. It was terrifyingly, dangerously awesome. "Right then. Let's get going then, Paisey. No need to sit here like a lemon." With a slight bounce, the stoat made her way into the alley she faced. Brilliant! There was a fire escape only a few yards in. No need to go hunting for one. Now, the fire escape was a good five feet off of the ground, that was nearly her height. No trouble, though! She backed up a few feet and jumped at the fire escape, latching onto the bit of ladder at the bottom and pulled herself up with ease.
Paisley adjusted the camera case strapped to her neck, zipped her coat back up and continued her way up the fire escape. It was easier, and less fun, now because all she was having to do climb ladders. Eh, in the end it might be worth it. The little, piebald ermine was trying to take some photos of the concrete jungle known as (this section of) East Lucent. And maybe jump off of some things while she was at it.
Paise had gotten pretty high up now at this point, and for a block or so she was above the buildings. She climbed up onto the roof of the building whose fire escape she was so leisurely climbing and took out her camera. She snapped a few shots and looked around for something to leap to.
The buildings in the low-block were so closely spaced that it might be easy for one to hop from one to the next. That was exactly what Paise intended to do. She stood at the edge of one roof and eyed the distance across, it only took a few seconds before she jumped the gap. In mid leap, she took a photo of the ground as she leapt. That would be a neat one.
The stoat stood at the edge of another building -what was in it, she didn't know, nor did she care to know- and eyed the distance between herself and a fire escape ladder. Now, this was a considerable gap. Much larger than the others had been. But that didn't stop her. Feeling quite confident in her abilities, Paisley jumped at the fire ladder, her arms extended as she planned to attach herself to one of the rungs of the ladder. She made it, but just barely, she had only been able to grasp the ladder with one hand, but she still was able to do it. For this she was proud. She pulled herself up and climbed the ladder a bit until she reached a platform. She sat herself down and had a small rest, looking at the pictures she took through a screen on the camera.
