I hope this is alright. I'm brand new here and I'm still learning the plot and such. If anyone would be willing, could you point me in right direction for information on the Foundry?

Character Name: Kiowa V. Nightshade (though she rarely uses her full name)

Species/Breed: Timber Wolf
Current Occupation: Kiowa is a bit of an entrepreneur. She goes where there is a bit of money to be made, however, for one reason or another, she doesn't have a set career. She's has a little bit of experience at just about every low end job you can think of. Just about. (I'm considering getting her involved with the Foundry or something similar, but she will definitely be getting involved with -something-)
Personality: Kiowa has a temper. On some days it may be impossible to get going, but on most days, it's not. She's not the type that you want to provoke because she -will- make sure you regret it, one way or another. Having grown up where life was anything BUT fair, Kiowa is certainly not above dirty tactics to get revenge.
She does not trust easily, but if you somehow manage to gain her trust, she is loyal to the pain of death. She would do anything for her sister or the few friends that she has. And when I say anything, I mean endure torture, humiliation...that type of stuff. However, on the flip side, back stab her and she will not stop until the debt has been repaid...usually by death or worse. Again, she's not above hurting those closest to you, innocent or not.
Kiowa has a thick hide. She's easy to anger, but hard to hurt. She's a very hard worker and is honest and fair, so long as you give her the same respect. She's a wanderer by nature. She has trouble settling down with routine and she likes her life to be exciting. She likes to have fun and she often treats things with an off hand, casual manor that can really get under some people's skin. She's open minded, a little quiet, but not shy. If she has something to say, she'll say it.
She can also be very deceptive, when times call for it. She can slip from one 'mask' to another as easily as breathing. Appearing one minute to be a rather innocent young woman, to a ragging , rabid wolf the next.
But she's not all about violence, deception and partying. Kiowa has a soft side, despite the whole tough girl act. She enjoys the outdoors, reading and writing in her free time. And perhaps, most strangely of all, is her love for children and her immense softness for babies. There is something about them, with their curiosity and innocence, that simply melts her heart. In a way, it's almost a weakness.
A last note to the personality. Kiowa has a personality disorder, referred to in the 'human' world as schizophrenia. She has a split personality, to whom she refers to as her 'Beast'. However, Kiowa maintains a very strong hold over her 'Beast' and remains in control all the time. The 'Beast', who refers to herself as Vorelsjach, Vorel or, most commonly, Vara, will not gain control unless something very traumatizing happens to Kiowa.
She doesn't know for certain why, but Vara first surfaced in middle school when she began to start fighting back against those who bullied her. Her guess is that Vara is a product of too much trauma when she was young and her brain was still developing. But she's not a doctor and she's not about to go to 'some shrink and be called crazy.'(as she would likely say)
Vara has only managed to gain full control over Kiowa a few times and each time it has only been for a few minutes. However, while Kiowa is bad tempered, she is not overly violent. Vara, on the other hand, is nothing but a being of pure violence. She craves it, lusts after it, and enjoys it on nearly every level possible. Vara, needless to say, is an evil being.
Appearance: Even for a female, Kiowa is petite. If she dresses right, she can even appear fragile. She has a slim build with a proportionally sized chest, long legs and a surprising amount of strength and muscle hiding in her slight body. She makes up for her small size, however, with speed and agility. She has won many-a-street fights by simply out maneuvering her bigger, stronger opponents.
Her pelt is one of flawless ebony, matching the long, silken strands of her raven black hair that flows just past her shoulders in gentle waves. She often leaves her hair down, preferring the free feeling. Though she is a Timber Wolf, Kiowa has always suspected that she has some fox in her. One, because her small size, and two, because of her large, fox like ears. For her species, Kiowa can easily be considered attractive in physical appearance.
Kiowa can often be seen wearing baggy pants, usually black or jeans, that seem to just hang on her hips. Her top is usually something tight fitting, but comfortable. A tank top, if the weather permits. She always wears a silver necklace with a circular pendant containing 3 small stones. One blue, one green and one red. It had been a gift for her mother, from her father, each of the stones representing one of their children. Galamite was the green emerald. Zira was the blue sapphire. And Kiowa, she was the bright red ruby.
Kiowa has several scars on her figure, though most are hidden by her thick pelt. There are three that were bad enough that the fur will no longer grow, but one is on her thigh and two, her ribs.
Last, but most importantly, are her eyes. They are very unique, being a mixture of oranges, reds and yellows. At times, when she is very angry, it has been said (by more than a one receiving party of that anger) that flames -almost- look to be burning in her eyes, licking at the dark abyss of her pupils. The impression, however, was probably helped along by the dark expression and bared fangs.
Background: Kiowa was born on the East side of Lucent to Kapu and Silver Nightshade, both of whom were of the Timber Wolf species. She was the youngest of 3 children. Her brother, the oldest, was Galamite and her older sister was Zira, whom Kiowa greatly looked up to. Though they lived in a very rough neighborhood, the small family managed to stick together through some pretty harsh things. Friends and neighbors, for an example, being murdered. Once, when Kiowa was at the tender age of 7, she had even witnessed such an event.
Being young, Kiowa had never wondered much about what her father did for work. He simply left every morning, came home every evening and their mother was there, taking care of them during the day. At 12, she was far too young to understand why, when a man came to their house, put a gun to her mother's head and blew her brains all over the family room walls. Or why he then turned the gun on her father and shot in four times in the chest, but then turned and walked away, leaving the 3 orphaned children to cry as their father bled to death on the carpet.
Zira had been 15 at the time and Galamite had been 18. It was his age alone that prevented them from being split up and placed in 'homes'. He worked two jobs to keep his sisters fed, housed and clothed. And even if it wasn't the best food, or the best cloths, or even the best housing arrangements, he managed to do all of that and graduate from high school.
Growing up on the 'wrong side of town', coupled with not having parents, Kiowa struggled in middle school and high school. Young children can be cruel and in middle school she was often teased, pushed around and even beat up. But Kiowa was tough and, after the initial 6 months of being bullied, she began to stick up for herself and fight back. Throughout middle school and high school she got into countless fights, many of which she lost and some of which she won. The older she got, the more experience she gained. While there were some high school 'gangs' she refused to join any of them and, as a result, she was often a target, despite her abilities to hold her own.
To make a long story short, at 21 Galamite and ran off with some girl and Kiowa hasn't heard from him in the 7 years that have followed since then. Her and Zira have always suspected that drugs or some sort of gang was involved. Her sister, Zira had just graduated, but thanks to their older brother, her plans to attend college were put on hold for 3 years until Kiowa finished school. After that Zira went to medical school and became a doctor. The two sisters have drifted a little, but they still keep in touch.
After high school Kiowa drifted from one job to another, trying to find what she liked doing. She tried being a bar tender once or twice, but she seemed to have a problem keeping herself from being the hell out of the rude, horny...and very drunk men when they began to have issues with personal boundaries. She's tried working a desk job, but after the first week, she couldn't take it. She's been a cook, and while she was surprisingly good at it, the small retuarant she worked for had to close. Mostly though, she has enjoyed working security jobs or else as a body guard. However, having a substantially slight figure, it's hard to get anyone to take her seriously -before- she beats their face into the ground. And intimidation is half the job.
Living on the 'East Side' and having a bad temper, Kiowa was often involved in some sort of street violence. She learned, by sheer years of experience, how to defend herself. Don't get me wrong, she isn't the best fighter in the world, but she can indeed hold her own against most normal opponents. And usually, if she can't, she smart and fast enough to get away.
Currently Kiowa is unemployed, but avidly looking for some sort of job.
