Personality: Tenison is very stong willed, this an eary adaption from being a sailor when he was young. He also learned not to show fear and bravery from traveling at sea, the sea life having many twists and dangerous turns under the cool ocean. He also has a very adaptable personality as well, he is often able to blend in with large and small groups of people, no matter how they act. This often means he has no true values worth showing and will abandon company if the situation calls for it or it is in his favor. He can also morph and change both his personality and appearance with ease, so when met over and over again, he always seems like a different person.
Though he has no true values he does have one serious achilles heel, a kind heart. He is often, even if his personality does not show it, a nice person to the extreme. He funds oprahanages and colleges, even going as far as to start his own zoo, named after the gates. He also has the inablitiy to say no to most sitiutions and this flaw is somewhat contibuted to him being a ¡§Chameloen¡¨.
Appearance: He is a very large person for starters, 6¡¦4, without his horns being added. Two dark brown, with a slight hint of tan color in them, horns portray out of his head and connect directly to his skull. His skin is lite green, mixed with some spots of dark green, white, black, lite blue and many other hues all around. However this does not stay the same all the time, for when he is danger, his natural ability of camoflage will active, and he will become either a lighter or darker shade of that color. This is caused by specilized cells under his skin, and is why he can not change into the exact color himself. Also when having intension feelings of emotions, such as anger or happiness, he will become the color most associated with it. (EX. Red for anger, blue for happiness etc.) Where his hands and legs should be he has parrot like Zygodactylous feet, or two of his fingers and toes facing backward and two facing forward. He also has mobile or stereoscopic eyes, which enable him to see the illusion of depth, kind of like three d, and depth perception. His eyes also have a 360 view of every thing, making him extremely hard to sneak up on. He also has a prehensile tail with he could use to grasp or handle things. It is very long, and all his clothes must be made specially for it. His mouth opens in a very wide smile, and inside is a very long tounge, which he could use to grab thing from far distances as well. This is only because at the tip of the tounge there is a thick suction cup like mucus. He is also deaf, for he has no ears, and often commucates via lip reading, except with his own species. He has a quadrateim, which allows him to sense vibrations thru solid objects, and communicates via vibration with his own kind. Sun is also crucial to him, for without sun he becomes secluded and does not like to communicate at all. He loves uniform, and because of this he can always be seen in either, suits or expensive clothing. When he goes hunting, or exploring, he always wears the proper gear however.
Background:
Born into a very poor family, Tenison grew up without most the luxery most kids had. His house was made of wood that his father, Herin, had made and was lit up with candles, for they could not afford electricity. His mother, Yeni, wanted to send him to school however, but his father simple refused to let his son go, mostly because of the finacial burden it would put on them. To his father disgrutly approvely, mostly because his mother had stopped making love to him until he allowed him, Tenison went to school in st. Lucent. He had trouble at school however, mostly because of his hearing and deafness, and was often picked on because of it. He had little to no friends, and animals became his only companions. Animals did not talk so not much needed to be said, and so he adopted animals behind his parents back, often taling food to them, though his family hardly had food for themselves. One day, his school took a field trip to inner st. lucent, and Tenison ended up lost. He arrived at the ocean, and walked on it sparkling sand, feeling a sense of calm. The water seem to speak to him, its constant vibrations beconing him, and he sat down on the sand and stared at the ocean. He sat there for hours until he noticed something crawling on the sand near by. He picked it up and gasped. It was a star, shining a dull yellow and it was moving like it was alive. He was about to go searching for more when the sand under his feet began to crumble and crack, like the earth was splitting in two, and from the sand under him rose another star, only there was one problem. This one was as big as a building and it hurled him in the air, straight into a hot dog stand, star in hand. He quickly recoverd however, and ran toward the direction of his school not in fear(well in fear of having to pay the man who owned the hot dog stand) but in awe, to go tell every one he knew what he saw. No one believed him, and every one avoided him more than ever. He did not care and dreamed about the ocean every day, constanly looking at the star that he began to raise. His grades began to slip but his family did not notice. His mother was sick and his father, with no money for medical care, could only watch her until she die. Ten days afterwards, his day withdrew him from school so that he could help with work. His father was a fisher and Tenison was thrilled to be taking out to sea with him. Time passed and Tenison learned of the sea monster of the sea the hard way. His father was eaten one day while out fishing and Tenison was heart broken. So Tenison took a break from being a fisher and went back to college, also become a sailor to pay for it. He graduated highest of his class in zoology, and became a full time sailor, studing the animal and plant life of the sea. Because of the growing tensions however in st. Lucent, Tenison noticed that sailors and fishermen where losing there jobs in order to save money for weapons and armor manufactoring. So Tenison became signed up to be a council member and was quickly accepted. There he openly spoke of the unfairness of the job cuts of sailors and fishermen, and how without back up most would die a painful death at sea. He has saved tons of jobs since. He also opened a zoo to show case the many animals that he encounters on his adventures and expeditions, only hiring the most caring people to watch the animals. What of the star that he raised since he was small? He named him sandstar and took him back to the shore where he met him. He had grown to big for the houseļ
